Description
Role Overview: You will lead and direct a team, as well as stand-up, direct, and lead PODs (virtual) teams to achieve the annual objectives for the business and team using advanced analytics. Your role will involve developing, mentoring, and coaching individual team members to share knowledge, grow the team, and ensure strong succession plans are in place. You will encourage empowerment, responsibility, and collegiality throughout the team and work towards becoming a destination for talent through branding, community, and academic partnerships. Additionally, you will play a key role in project prioritization and planning within your team, acting as a key partner to the business and an advocate for analytics, establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and direct a team to deliver annual business and team objectives using advanced analytics - Develop, mentor, and coach individual team members to foster growth and ensure strong succession plans - Encourage empowerment, responsibility, and collegiality within the team - Establish the team as a destination for talent through branding, community, and academic partnerships - Conform to Barclays management processes and procedures - Play a key role in project prioritization and planning within your team - Act as a key partner to the business and advocate for analytics, positioning yourself as an expert in your field Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience driving commercial value and impact across financial or non-financial sectors, with strong experience in financial services products - Comprehensive understanding of creating and deploying analytical outputs such as ML models and Data Assets - Familiarity with best-in-class visualization tools and leveraging them to derive insights - Experience in building and leading teams of technical analysts in a global, matrix environment - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly - Ability to set direction, deliver on a vision, and plan ahead to achieve results - Technical knowledge of big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop and Hive), ML, Data science, advanced modeling techniques, technologies, and programming languages - Self-motivated with a track record of achieving goals and meeting schedules - Project management experience Company Details: The company emphasizes a culture of leadership behaviors aimed at creating an environment where colleagues can thrive and deliver consistently excellent results.
