Job Description

Position Summary:

Air Traffic Control Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and direct aircraft movements on the ground and in the air to ensure safe distances between planes.
Provide pilots with accurate information regarding weather conditions, runway status, and other critical data.
Manage takeoffs, landings, and ground traffic coordination at airports.
Use radar, radio communication, and other tools to track aircraft positions and movements.
Issue clearances and instructions to pilots based on current traffic, weather, and airspace restrictions.
Coordinate with other air traffic controllers and adjacent control centers for smooth handoffs and traffic management.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations or unexpected events.
Maintain detailed records and logs of air traffic operations and incidents.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in aviation or related field is a plus.
Completion of certified Air Traffic Control training program.
Valid Air Traffic Controller license/certification issued by the relevant aviation authority.
Strong knowledge of air traffic control systems, procedures, and aviation regulations.
