Role Description

This full-time on-site role located in Mumbai is for an Air and Ocean Import Specialist. The responsibilities include coordinating air and ocean import shipments, managing documentation compliance, and liaising with customers, carriers, and regulatory authorities. The role requires meticulous tracking of freight movement, ensuring timely delivery, resolving shipment issues, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Further, the specialist will collaborate with internal teams to optimize operational processes and stay up-to-date with industry regulations and practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing air and ocean import operations, including knowledge of freight forwarding procedures, customs clearance, and international trade principles.
• Strong skills in documentation, compliance, and understanding of relevant regulations in international logistics.
• Proficient communication and customer service abilities for liaising with stakeholders, clients, and service providers.
• Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Proficiency in working with logistics management software and tools; intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Previous experience in a logistics or freight forwarding environment is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with customs regulations applicable to India and international markets is a plus.
