Role Description As an AI/ML Engineer at zipp.ai, you will be at the heart of our product innovation. You will research, design, develop, and deploy the core AI models that power our platform, from analyzing complex regulatory documents to identifying anomalies in manufacturing data. This role requires a strong foundation in machine learning and a passion for applying cutting-edge technology, especially Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), to solve real-world problems. Key Responsibilities Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy ML/NLP models for tasks such as document understanding, gap analysis, data classification, and trend analysis. Work extensively with LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for our domain-specific conversational AI features. Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for cleaning, preparing, and managing large datasets (primarily textual and structured data). Integrate trained models into our cloud-based application (hosted on Azure) by building and maintaining robust APIs. Rigorously evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, etc.) and continuously iterate to improve results. Collaborate closely with our CTO, product team, and GxP domain experts to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and NLP and champion new techniques that can enhance our product suite. Skills & Qualifications We Require: Proven hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning or generative AI models. Strong proficiency in Python and core AI/ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Solid experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, spaCy). Demonstrable experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and associated technologies. Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control (Git) and API development. What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Skills): Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and its AI/ML services. Understanding of MLOps principles for managing the model lifecycle. Experience with vector databases and semantic search. Startup experience and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
