The Role

We’re looking for a senior engineering leader who can drive delivery across multiple AI and software applications. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll provide architectural and operational oversight while also rolling up your sleeves to tackle challenges directly.

This is not a “big company management” role—it requires a nimble startup mindset. You’ll be expected to adapt quickly, make pragmatic decisions, and thrive in an environment where the problems are complex, the resources lean, and the ambition sky-high.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Delivery & Operations

• Ensure operational excellence across multiple AI and data-driven applications.
• Oversee DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments (Azure preferred), and system reliability.
• Balance speed of delivery with high-quality engineering standards.

Technology & Architecture Leadership

• Define scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures for diverse applications.
• Make smart, lean technology stack choices aligned with startup realities.
• Be ready to dive in hands-on when complex technical problems arise.

Startup-Style Leadership

• Mentor and inspire a team of engineers while setting the cultural tone of accountability and ownership.
• Be comfortable wearing multiple hats: technical architect, delivery manager, and sometimes problem-solver-in-chief.
• Anticipate challenges early, fix them fast, and keep momentum going.

Business & Strategic Contribution

• Work directly with the founder and leadership team to align engineering execution with business priorities.
• Help establish operational processes (budgeting, hiring, vendor management) as we scale.
• Shape the foundation of an engineering organization that can grow into a global operation.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:

  10+ years in software engineering, including 3–5 years in senior engineering or delivery leadership.

• Skills:

  Strong background in cloud (Azure), DevOps, microservices, and scaling modern AI/ML applications.

• Mindset:

  A nimble, startup-oriented leader—willing to roll up sleeves, solve problems directly, and thrive in ambiguity.

• Leadership:

  Proven ability to manage multi-application delivery and guide engineering culture.

• Domain Curiosity:

  Exposure to healthcare/life sciences is a plus, but curiosity and a willingness to dive into this mission-driven space are essential.
