About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Analyst – Expert with strong expertise in analysing business requirements and implementing advanced AI/ML solutions within the Oil & Gas domain. The ideal candidate will specialize in Exploration & Production (E&P), Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Supply Chain, and HSE datasets, acting as a vital bridge between business and IT teams. This role focuses on applying AI/ML techniques—including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision—to extract meaningful insights, generate recommendations, and deliver measurable business outcomes such as efficiency gains, downtime reduction, cost optimization, and safety improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and understand complex business requirements and domain-specific data (Including seismic, reservoir, drilling, sensor telemetry, IoT) from E&P, O&M, Supply Chain, and HSE datasets.
  • Translate business problems into technical AI/ML solution designs, including feature engineering and model selection.
  • Apply AI/ML algorithms—predictive modelling, anomaly detection, time series forecasting, reinforcement learning—to large-scale datasets.
  • Implement MLOps best practices covering deployment, monitoring, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Work with big data ecosystems such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and data platforms (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Ensure data governance by enforcing data privacy, ethical AI, bias mitigation, and explainability using frameworks like SHAP or LIME.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders through requirements planning, documentation, and validation.
  • Continuously research and incorporate emerging AI/ML and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) into solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or relevant field.
  • Proven experience (8–10 years) in AI/ML roles with strong exposure to Oil & Gas (E&P, reservoir, drilling, logistics).
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, R, Scala, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Solid understanding of big data technologies and cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP AI Platform)
  • Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with safety and compliance standards in Oil & Gas industry.
