You will allocate approximately 10–20% to research and technical exploration to grasp existing behavior, constraints, and stakeholder requirements; 40–50% translating that knowledge into precise, test-driven, agent-compatible specifications and architectural choices; and 40–50% coordinating and overseeing implementation. You own what gets deployed: no hidden failures, no vague specs, no deflecting responsibility to the agent.You will work with a team that views specification as a deliverable, review as an engineering practice, and delivery as the singular metric that matters. What You Will Be Doing
- Technical Discovery: Examining existing systems, stakeholder requirements, and data sources to comprehend the problem domain and technical limitations
- Technical Specification: Transforming research insights and stakeholder needs into precise, executable technical specifications tailored for agentic coding assistants (primarily Claude Code) using spec-driven development methodology
- AI Implementation: Directing AI coding agents to execute specifications, continuously reviewing and validating agent-generated code, and incorporating validated changes into the production codebase
AI Software Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Continuous delivery of production-grade software features and systems through agentic development workflows, where AI coding agents perform implementation while engineers lead specification, architecture, and quality assurance
Basic Requirements
- At least 3 years professional software engineering experience in production environments
- Experience participating in pull request review processes
- Experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Windsurf, Cursor) in a professional setting
