At Lucio, you'll work on powerful AI-driven products where you’ll work on end-to-end AI systems from fine-tuning diffusion/LLM models and building ML pipelines to deploying large-scale backend services that power real-world applications.
Responsibilities:
- AI Engineering
- Develop, fine-tune, and deploy state-of-the-art models (LLMs, GANs, Diffusion, OCR).
- Apply model quantization, optimization, and edge deployment to make AI fast, cost-efficient, and production-ready.
- Build and scale ML pipelines with MLOps best practices (Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployment).
- Prototype quickly and translate AI research into real-world product features.
- Backend Systems
- Design and maintain scalable backend services in Python (Flask, FastAPI, Celery, Gevent).
- Integrate ML models into distributed systems and APIs that serve thousands of users.
- Optimize infrastructure for latency, performance, and cost.
- Collaboration & Impact
- Partner with researchers, product managers, and frontend teams to ship AI-first experiences.
- Solve complex problems in legal document understanding, NLP, and computer vision.
- Contribute to code reviews, mentor peers, and push for engineering excellence.
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with exposure to backend systems.
- Strong Python skills, with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, Diffusers.
- Hands-on expertise in GANs, Diffusion models, and LLM fine-tuning (LoRA, quantization, pruning).
- Experience deploying scalable ML pipelines (GCS/AWS, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
- Comfortable working with asynchronous task queues, APIs, and distributed applications.
- Bonus: OCR tools, document AI, or prior work in legal-tech.
- Startup mindset: ownership-driven, adaptable, and excited to build at scale.
