Position Overview

An AI Engineer at Optimum Info will understand challenges faced by users of Optimum’s solutions and develop machine learning and deep learning models to address the challenges. The engineer will also develop the necessary interfaces to integrate the developed models with business applications.

To achieve this, the engineer will acquire a deep understanding of the business, the datasets, and the processes. The engineer will collaborate with other technical teams to deploy developed solutions.

As an intern, I will be expected to utilize the internship to diligently learn the technologies and tools used by developers at Optimum Info and acquire competency to assume an AI developer role upon completion of the internship. The intern will work on an assigned project with defined goals, under the guidance of a senior engineer. The goals attained will contribute significantly to an offer of a permanent position at Optimum Info.

To qualify for the role of an Intern- AI Developer, a candidate be -

Pursuing bachelor's degree in engineering / information technology along with a CGPA of 7.0 and above OR a score of 70% and above in qualifying degree.

• Good Orientation towards and ongoing learning with:
• Python, API development and consumption.
• Understanding of algorithms and the mathematical basis, and oriented towards techniques for evaluating model performance

• Understands Machine learning and deep learning libraries for Python
• Understanding of Data extraction and persistence using RDBMS and NoSQL databases

• Orientation of Cloud infrastructure and deployment for scale (including containerized deployment)
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM environment
• Basic knowledge of Configuration management tools like Git, TFS/Azure DevOps, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities of a developer:

As software development and validation technologies continue to evolve, it is expected that the AI engineer will constantly research, identify and adopt the best tools and practices for ensuring high quality software product releases.

• Understand given problem statements and analyze related data sets
• Identify solution design options, build models and conduct POCs
• Collect model performance data and compare with benchmarks
• Present effective data visualizations and feasible options along with recommendations to senior management
• Develop integration with business applications
• Collaborate with business analysts, application developers, QA and configuration engineers for integration with Optimum’s products, validation and deployments
• Define deployment architectures and estimate infrastructure needs for cloud deployments
• Create technical documentation for work products delivered
• Research new developments in the field and propose how Optimum’s products may leverage them to provide added value to users
