Agro Raw Material Sourcing Intern (Remote)

About The Opportunity

• Support end-to-end sourcing of agricultural raw materials by identifying and evaluating supplier candidates across key regions.
• Coordinate procurement activities: request quotes, negotiate basic terms, and finalize supplier agreements under mentor guidance.
• Monitor incoming shipments and quality standards; liaise with quality control teams to resolve discrepancies swiftly.
• Maintain and update the supplier database, track order statuses, and generate weekly sourcing reports.
• Conduct market research on price trends, crop availability, and seasonality to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, finance) to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Basic understanding of agricultural procurement processes and raw material supply chains in India.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to build rapport with suppliers remotely.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
  

Preferred

• Prior internship or coursework experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with sourcing software platforms or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of regional crop seasons, quality grading standards, and local market dynamics.
