AGM/GM - Purchase For API Manufacturing Based at Bangalore.

Role & responsibilities

1. Candidate will be based at Bangalore and working as a AGM/GM Supply Chain & Procurement and will responsible for handling purchase of API Raw Materials & Intermediates and KSMs.

2. Candidate will be responsible for vendor development from domestics & international/import source for API Raw Materials & Intermediates and KSMs.

3. Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for API raw materials, intermediates, and KSMs aligned with business growth plans.

4. Establish and manage high-level supplier partnerships, MOUs, annual rate contracts, and long-term agreements (LTAs).

5. Oversee vendor qualification in coordination with QA, ensuring compliance with GMP and global regulatory standards.

6. Conduct high-level negotiations leveraging market intelligence, demand forecasting, and strategic volumes.

7. Lead organization-wide cost optimization programs including alternative sourcing, value engineering, and supply chain redesign.

8. Oversee demand planning, production-linked procurement scheduling, and S&OP alignment.

9. Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials with robust planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation.

10. Lead continuous improvement projects across supply chain processes to enhance service levels and reduce costs.

11. Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, ICH, and other regulatory guidelines.

12. Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Corporate Leadership on business strategy, new projects, and capacity planning.

13. Develop comprehensive supply risk assessments covering geopolitical issues, market volatility, single-source dependencies, and regulatory disruptions.

Preferred Candidate Profile.

1. Candidate with Bachelors or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or Supply Chain Management.

2. 12–20+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain within API or chemical manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (AGM/GM level or equivalent).

3. Strong knowledge of global sourcing, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and API manufacturing technicalities.

4. Candidate will be responsible for vendor development from domestics & international/import source for API Raw Materials & Intermediates and KSMs.
