Job Description

Objective of the role: The Head of Technical Services will lead the development, implementation, and dissemination of technical knowledge across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company’s products, services, and practices are scientifically sound, field-effective, and aligned with the latest advancements in agriculture. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between R D, product development, field operations, and farmer engagement. Job Responsibilities: Technical Expertise Advisory: Develop and maintain technical manuals, SOPs, and knowledge repositories. Make comparisons and identify product/feature advantages compared with competition and prepare tools to be used by sales and marketing teams. Monitor customer satisfaction and report regularly. Assist in resolving field complaints and disputes with customers. Farmer Field Engagement: Design and oversee farmer training programs, field demonstrations, and technical campaigns. Act as a key spokesperson in farmer meetings, agri-expos, and industry forums. Innovation Research: Understand farmer/market needs and propose innovations with DT Work closely to introduce new products by training and capacity building of team and dealers Compliance Quality Assurance: Ensure all technical practices comply with regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Support product registration and documentation processes with scientific data. Qualifications Qualifications Skills: Bachelors/Master’s. in (Agriculture) or Agricultural engineering with experience or specific training in Irrigation. Proven experience in leading Micro Irrigation companies. 15+ years in agriculture, or related technical leadership roles Strong understanding of Indian agro-climatic zones, cropping systems, and farmer behavior. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and digital agriculture tools is a plus. Additional Information Preferred Attributes: Passion for sustainable agriculture and rural development. Multilingual abilities (especially Hindi and regional languages). Willingness to travel extensively across rural India.
