We have been mandated by a large conglomerate for the below mentioned role -

Job Title: AGM/DGM - Sales and Marketing (Ferro Alloys)

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the company's market share in the domestic and international ferro alloys market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development:

    Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for ferroalloy products (e.g., Ferro Silicon, Ferro Manganese, etc.) to meet or exceed organizational goals and sales targets.
  • Business Development:

    Identify, qualify, and secure new B2B opportunities in target markets (domestic and international), building and scaling the customer base across various regions.
  • Key Account Management:

    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at steel plants, foundries, and alloy manufacturers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Intelligence:

    Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging market opportunities, monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and global demand cycles to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Sales Coordination:

    Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, finance, and quality control to ensure timely delivery, product quality, and seamless operations.
  • Team Leadership:

    Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Marketing Communications:

    Oversee the development of marketing materials, presentations, and branding initiatives to enhance the company's visibility and market presence across various channels (trade shows, digital, etc.).
  • Reporting & Forecasting:

    Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and detailed reports (MIS) to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and market insights.
  • Contract Negotiation:

    Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and payment terms with customers and partners, closing deals in line with company terms and conditions.
