Position – Advanced Embedded Engineer, Product Development & Quality Assurance
Location: Bangalore, India
The Advanced Embedded Engineer role involves in driving PDQA activities for the assigned programs across the sites in the role of Lead PDQA with end-to-end responsibility from planning to program closure. This role ensures the adherence to processes, identifying all compliance issues and working with the engineering teams & other stakeholders to resolve the identified issues. Building QA expertise in the team and improving the confidence/trust with the customers. Additionally, the identified person will also drive improvements in processes/tools and contribute to SDP activities in the group.
Primary responsibilities:
This position is responsible for leading the PDQA activities in the assigned programs, complying with the PDQA plan to oversee the aerospace product development, ensuring that processes are aligned with the aerospace PDQA site being supported, and for ensuring that systemic and overdue PDQA findings are identified, and corrective actions are deployed. This role is also responsible for estimating the PDQA effort for all the projects. This position is additionally responsible for the following:
- Ready to play the Lead PDQA global role for the assigned programs
- Planning and coordinating the PDQA activities across the sites along with the PE
- Preparing and Driving Compliance Reviews (SOI) with OEM’s/Regulators/customers
- Providing tech shares to the fellow PDQE’s
- Mentor Engineers and peers for expanding delegations or resolving the issues
- Developing the strategies for accomplishing the SDP objectives by coming up with improvement actions that will reduce cost and cycle time
- Good knowledge of engineering, Honeywell Aerospace process and regulatory standards/guidance, processes, and tools
- Develop / drive effective and efficient means of implementing the certification processes in the COEs and Process Excellence team
- Ensuring that systemic issues are identified, and corrective actions are deployed by working with the engineering teams
- Provides process guidance to product groups for regulatory compliance.
- Work with all the stakeholders to develop alternate solutions to project/program certification and QA issues and challenges.
- Adequate communication skills to interact with leadership/stakeholders across the groups
- Work with COE’s in preparing for AS9100/CMMI/DO external audits and track all issues to closure (including CMMI Level 5 High Maturity practices)
- Auditing teams to have COE’s comply with Honeywell QMS & APOL-92 standards
- Applicant must be able to work seamlessly with Engineers, Program Managers, Customers, and Certification Authorities, striving to build positive and long-lasting working relationships with product teams and the Certification Authorities
Qualifications
Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science Engineering
- 10+ years of end-to-end working experience in the field of Aerospace software programs/products
- Significant years of experience in a Quality, Engineering related role.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
- A working knowledge of aerospace quality practices including regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. CMMI, AS9100, FAA, EASA and Government Regulations)
- Good Familiarity with industry guidance standards such as DO-178B/C, ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-254 and DO-330
- Well experienced in various kind audits for products like Life cycle, Project artifact and project compliance audits and inspection review, process improvements and process mentoring activities.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience in Supporting AS9100 (Network audits & DNV audits) and CMMI Audits
- Good experience on driving RPS/RCCA

- Knowledge in Tools development / Automation (Python/Perl/Excel/Tableau)
