Accounts Payable Lead

Role Overview: As a Finance professional at Bima Sugam, your main objective is to ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST Act, 2017. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining AP/Tax processes using relevant tools, collaborating with finance and other teams, coordinating with auditors and external consultants during financial reviews, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal control, leading and evaluating AP staff performance, ensuring income tax and GST compliance, managing cash to earn maximum return, and preparing aging reports and other required reports for management. Key Responsibilities: - Automate and streamline AP/Tax processes using relevant tools - Collaborate with finance and other teams to meet the company's objectives - Coordinate with auditors and external consultants during financial reviews - Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal control - Lead, mentor, and evaluate AP staff performance - Ensure income tax and GST compliance - Manage cash to ensure maximum return on investments - Prepare aging reports and other reports required by management Qualifications Required: - MBA in Finance/M.COM with a minimum of 10+ years of experience primarily in AP/Tax function About Bima Sugam: Bima Sugam India Federation (BSIF) is a not-for-profit company established under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, as per the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Bima Sugam - Insurance Electronic Marketplace) Regulations, 2024.
