Job Title: Senior Accountant – Logistics Industry Location: Kolkata, India Experience Required: 1-7 Years in Accounting within the Logistics Sector Employment Type: Full-Time Company Overview: We are a reputed and growing organization in the logistics sector, committed to operational excellence and strong financial governance. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kolkata. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with statutory requirements. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, income tax returns, and other regulatory compliance. Monitor cash flow, forecast financial trends and manage budgets. Work closely with internal department and external auditor Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies. Implement best accounting practices and ensure transparency in all financial operations. Requirements : 1–7 years of proven experience in accounting within the logistics or transportation industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or other ERP systems). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. A strong, verifiable track record and positive references from previous employers. Must be based in Kolkata or willing to relocate to Kolkata immediately. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field. CA Inter or similar qualifications are a plus. Demonstrable expertise in preparing Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets. Proficiency in GST filing and TDS submission. Candidates with prior experience working on the Indo-Bangladesh Trade route are highly preferred. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
