Job Posting: Accountant (5–10 Years Experience mandatory)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, statutory obligations, GST & Income Tax compliance, and company licensing documentation. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Tally, GST filing, Income Tax return filing, and government licensing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally ERP.
• Handle all daily accounting entries including sales, purchase, expenses, bank reconciliation, and petty cash.
• Manage payable and receivable ledgers and ensure timely follow-ups.

Taxation (GST & Income Tax)

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 etc.).
• Manage GST reconciliation (2A/2B reconciliation).
• Prepare and file Income Tax returns, TDS returns, and ensure compliance.
• Handle tax audits and coordinate with CA firms as required.

Statutory & Government Licensing

• Maintain and renew required factory, labour, pollution control, food safety (FSSAI) and other government licences.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory documents and avoid penalties.

Financial Statements & Reports

• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning.
• Provide management with regular financial insights and variance reports.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard financial data.
• Support external and internal auditors during audit cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com preferred.
• 5–10 years of hands-on accounting experience in a manufacturing or trading company.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, GST portals, and Income Tax portal.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax rules, and compliance.
• Experience in government licensing processes (FSSAI, Factory License, Labour License, Pollution etc.).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
