Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to guide strategic planning.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development within the finance department.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational goals.

Skills

• Proficient in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
• Strong knowledge of financial services and financial management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience in financial accounting practices, including preparation of financial statements.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members effectively.
