Job Title: Accountant Export & Banking Documentation

Location:

Job Summary:

Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts related to export sales and foreign currency transactions.
  • Record export invoices, payment receipts, and related accounting entries in ERP or accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP).
  • Reconcile customer accounts and track outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor forex rates and account for exchange gains/losses.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on export sales, collections, and bank reconciliation.

Export Documentation:

  • Prepare and manage export-related documentation including:
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Packing List
    • Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
    • Certificate of Origin
    • Export Declaration Forms (EDF)
    • Shipping Bill
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping lines.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy to avoid delays or rejections at customs or banks.

Banking & Compliance:

  • Liaise with banks for:
    • Negotiation and realization of export bills
    • Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and compliance
    • Bank Guarantee (BG) and Forward Contract handling
  • Handle inward remittances and ensure timely submission of documents to the bank.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, and other export-import regulations.
  • Assist in annual audits and statutory reporting related to export transactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (B.Com, M.Com,).
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on

    export documentation and banking

    .
  • Good knowledge of

    SAP, or other ERP systems

    .
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and banking practices.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in dealing with

    LCs, BGs, and export incentives

    (like MEIS, RoDTEP).
  • Knowledge of DGFT procedures and documentation.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including logistics, sales, and compliance.
  • Problem-solving attitude and analytical thinking.
