Job Description

PENNEP is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Contractual Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting and compliance functions. The role requires strong expertise in payroll, statutory filings, taxation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience with Zoho Books is mandatory, while knowledge of QuickBooks will be a strong plus.


Responsibilities

  • Manage 

    payroll processing

     with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with

    PF, ESI, GST, and TDS

    , including filing and reporting.
  • Handle 

    bookkeeping

     and maintain accurate ledgers of all financial transactions.
  • Conduct 

    bank reconciliations

     and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage 

    accounts payable and receivable

    , vendor payments, and invoicing.
  • Track and reconcile 

    employee reimbursements and company expenses

    .
  • Assist with 

    monthly/quarterly closing

    , preparation of P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Support in 

    tax audits, statutory audits, and compliance reporting

    .
  • Provide 

    financial analysis and insights

     for cash flow and cost control.
  • Coordinate with banks, vendors, and auditors as required.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 

    1–2 years of accounting experience

     is required.
  • Proven knowledge of payroll, compliance, and taxation.
  • Mandatory:

     Hands-on experience with 

    Zoho Books

    .
  • Preferred:

     Knowledge of 

    QuickBooks

    .
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
