As part of our expansion, We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage payroll processing for our Canada and US operations. The ideal candidate will possess solid bookkeeping expertise, experience handling vendor invoicing and payment follow-ups, a thorough understanding of payroll regulations, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with international teams and clients.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:


  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for Canada and US employees in compliance with local regulations and company policies.

  • Handle vendor invoicing, verify billing details, and ensure timely approval and recording of vendor invoices.

  • Track and manage outstanding vendor payments, perform payment follow-ups, and maintain accurate accounts payable records.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular bookkeeping tasks, including accounts reconciliation, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.

  • Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and statutory contributions.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to payroll, accounts payable, and bookkeeping.

  • Coordinate with HR, finance, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

  • Stay updated on Canadian and US payroll legislation and accounting standards.

  • Communicate effectively with management and teams to resolve discrepancies or accounting queries promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, vendor management, and Canada/US payroll processing.

  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Xero).

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Experience collaborating with international teams or outsourced accounting services.
