Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions of a rice milling unit, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, cost control, and timely reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of taxation, inventory accounting, and financial analysis relevant to agro-based manufacturing operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance

• Maintain books of accounts including cash, bank, journal, ledger, and inventory records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Monitor day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Handle cost accounting related to paddy procurement, milling, by-products, and finished goods.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C if applicable).
• Handle TDS compliance including deduction, payment, and filing of returns.
• Coordinate income tax matters, audits, and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor paddy stock, rice production, by-products, and finished goods inventory.
• Reconcile physical stock with books and investigate variances.
• Assist management in cost analysis, margin monitoring, and profitability improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.Com / M.Com .
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in rice mills, manufacturing, or agro-based industries.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and TDS
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with proficiency in English and Hindi.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
