Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Delhi

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, handling statutory compliances, and supporting monthly/annual financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience with GST, TDS, and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day books of accounts (AP, AR, Ledger, Cash/Bank entries).
  • Record journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage vendor bills, purchase orders, and expense claims.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation and vendor reconciliation.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and assist in filing GST returns, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliation.
  • Handle TDS deductions, TDS returns, and 26AS reconciliation.
  • Support statutory audits and coordinate with auditors when required.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of monthly MIS reports.
  • Support preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and payable ageing reports.

4. Payroll & Other Support

  • Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement accounting.
  • Help in budgeting and cost control activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience as an Accounts Executive/Officer.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / Busy / SAP / Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic formulas).
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Delhi-based taxation and compliance.
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting processes and audit requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,573.78 - ₹58,071.29 per month
