Job Title: Accountant – Kidswear Brand

About Us:

We are a growing kidswear brand known for our designs, premium quality, and focus on comfort. As we expand our retail and online presence, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all financial aspects of the business—from bookkeeping and inventory accounting to GST filings and vendor payments—ensuring smooth and transparent financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks).
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and other transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

2. Taxation & Compliance:

• Handle GST returns, TDS calculations, and other statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Liaise with auditors and tax consultants during audits or assessments.

3. Inventory & Cost Management:

• Reconcile inventory reports with financial statements.
• Assist in product costing and margin analysis for kidswear SKUs.
• Monitor stock valuations and wastage for retail and warehouse units.

4. Financial Planning & Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Analyze expenses, profitability, and budget variances to support management decisions.
• Support in developing budgets and forecasts for seasonal collections and marketing campaigns.

5. Vendor & Banking Coordination:

• Manage vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
• Handle petty cash and banking transactions, including fund transfers and deposits.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, banks, and financial partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience (preferably in apparel, retail, or e-commerce).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks).
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Good command over MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
