Accountant (E-Commerce)

Location: In-Office (Gurgaon, Haryana) Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday) Experience: 1–4 years in accounting/bookkeeping (Zoho Books + Tally preferred) Salary: ₹15,000–₹20,000/month (based on experience) + Performance Incentives Why this role existsOwn clean books, cash discipline, and a trusted end-to-end P&L. You’ll keep daily entries tight, reconcile money flows, and close months on time—coordinating with our CA for compliant filings. What you’ll do (daily/weekly)Daily posting: purchases, expenses, sales/fees, credit notes, petty cash in Zoho Books (plus Tally where needed). Own the P&L: correct mapping of COGS, shipping, gateway fees, marketing, salaries, and provisions; maintain a clear monthly P&L view. Banking (ownership): monitor balances, schedule/vendor payouts, prepare payment runs, manage bank feeds, and ensure T+1 reconciliations. Reconciliations: banks, payment gateways (Razorpay/Cashfree), COD remittances, courier/Shiprocket/ITL bills, wallets & petty cash. Vendor & bills: verify GST invoices, tax codes/HSN, capture line items correctly, maintain ageing, resolve mismatches. Receivables & collections: track dues, share statements, follow up; keep AR tidy. Taxes & compliance (with CA): prep GST/TDS workings, reconcile GSTR-2B vs books, share month packs for returns. Month-end close: post accruals/adjustments, reconcile ledgers, deliver Trial Balance, P&L, BS, Cash Flow snapshots on time. Docs & SOPs: maintain proofs (invoices, DN/CN, challans), update checklists, suggest process improvements. What success looks like (KPIs)Books up-to-date: T+1 discipline on entries & bank/PG/courier recos. Accurate P&L: no misclassified spends; clean month-end within agreed timeline. Zero unexplained breaks in bank/PG/ledger reconciliation. On-time compliance packs (GST/TDS) to CA. Payables hygiene: clear ageing and vendor statement matches. You should haveHands-on Zoho Books and Tally experience. Solid Excel/Sheets (pivot, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, basics). Working knowledge of GST/TDS, HSN/SAC, and invoice requirements. Comfort with payment gateways, COD remittances, Shiprocket/ITL bills. High attention to detail, integrity, and crisp documentation. BonusE-commerce/Shopify accounting exposure (fees, returns/RTO, shipping). Inventory/costing basics, month-end provisioning. Familiarity with finance dashboards (Metabase/Looker).
