Accountant

As part of a fast-moving D2C startup, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the business with insights that drive smarter decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, takes full ownership of their work, and is excited to help build one of India’s most trusted car care brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in Tally or accounting software
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, ledger entries, and journal postings
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance documents
• Manage vendor payments, invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliations
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, MIS)
• Collaborate with CA firms and finance consultants as needed
• Track inventory and costing in coordination with warehouse and ops teams
• Provide financial support to internal teams (marketing, operations, logistics)

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce or product-based businesses
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian tax laws
• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting tools
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Good to Have

• Experience with Shopify, Razorpay, Shiprocket or similar e-commerce tools
• Passion for automobiles or interest in the D2C space
• Exposure to cost accounting or inventory-led operations
