ACCOUNTANT

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accountant to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate reconciliation of customer and vendor ledgers and to obtain timely balance confirmations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and fostering trust with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers on a regular basis (monthly/quarterly/year-end).
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and external parties to resolve them.
• Prepare and send balance confirmation letters/emails to customers and vendors.
• Follow up diligently to collect confirmations and update records accordingly.
• Assist in preparing reconciliation reports for management review.
• Maintain proper documentation of all confirmations and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
• Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles, especially ledger posting and reconciliation.
• Good communication skills for coordination and follow-ups.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting with a focus on ledger reconciliation and balance confirmation.
• Experience in the logistics or transportation industry will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
