Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Agreement Review:

  • Analyze and interpret vendor contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are understood and align with the organizations objectives.
  • Identify potential risks or liabilities in vendor agreements and work to mitigate them.

Vendor Selection and Onboarding

  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, procurement, finance, legal) to assess and select vendors based on organizational needs.
  • Develop and execute vendor onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with compliance and performance standards.

Cost-Benefit and Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct a cost-benefit analysis to determine the most suitable vendors, considering factors such as service quality, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure adherence to SLAs and contractual terms.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and manage risks related to vendor agreements, including regulatory compliance, data security, and operational resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations when managing vendor contracts.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Work with legal and finance teams to finalize and negotiate contract terms, amendments, and renewals.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of vendor agreements, performance metrics, and contract renewals.
  • Prepare periodic reports to provide visibility into vendor performance and contract compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost analysis and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with contract law, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to vendor agreements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in vendor management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPM).
  • Experience in vendor management within [relevant industry].
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP and contract lifecycle management systems.
