Journal Entries & Ledger Posting – ability to record day-to-day transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable – handling vendor invoices, customer payments, follow-ups.
Bank Reconciliation – matching books with bank statements.
Trial Balance Preparation – assisting in preparing TB for reporting.
Petty Cash Management – handling small daily expenses.
Software & Tools
Tally Prime / ERP (commonly used in India).
MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas).
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, depending on company).
Compliance & Tax Basics
GST Returns filing assistance (GSTR-1, 3B).
TDS knowledge (deduction & filing basics).
Awareness of PF, ESI, and payroll entries.
