About the Role


Account Director will lead the client servicing function, managing senior client relationships and ensuring delivery of best-in-class strategy, creative, and execution. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, business acumen, team leadership, and deep client empathy. The person will be the custodian of client relationships, ensuring efficient project management, responsible for driving growth, maintaining profitability, and fostering long-term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


• Client Leadership & Relationship Management

• Act as the strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.

• Ensure proactive understanding of client business challenges, market environment, and category trends.

• Drive efficient project management across multidisciplinary teams and varying nature of client partnerships.

• Manage client expectations and ensure delivery of high-quality output across strategy, creative, media, and digital.


Business Growth & Revenue


• Lead business growth opportunities across existing accounts – cross-sell and upsell agency services.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with the leadership team.

• Ensure account profitability through strong financial oversight and resource planning.


Team Leadership & Development


• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing client servicing team.

• Provide guidance on thorough project management, strategic thinking, presentation skills, and

relationship management.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Help recruit, groom, and retain top talent within the team.


Strategic & Creative Partnership


• Work closely with strategy, creative and digital teams to ensure integrated and innovative solutions.

• Champion the quality of work delivered to clients – balancing creativity with effectiveness.

• Oversee preparation and delivery of client presentations and reviews.


Desired Skills & Qualifications


• Postgraduate/MBA in Marketing, Communications, or Business is preferred.

• 10-13 years of proven experience in client servicing/account management within advertising, digital, brand consulting, or integrated marketing agencies.

• Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer behaviour, digital ecosystems, and integrated marketing campaigns.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Strong business acumen with proven ability to grow accounts and deliver profitability.

• Leadership skills with experience in managing large teams across functions.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple stakeholders.
