Account Associate

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Dhruva Space is seeking a Account Associate to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and taxation processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in core accounting functions and a strong working knowledge of relevant financial systems and statutory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining transparent and up-to-date financial records, supporting internal audits, and ensuring timely execution of financial activities across the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
• Perform routine accounting tasks, including data entry and journal postings.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Ensure timely submission and accuracy of billing statements.
• Process vendor payments and ensure settlement within payment terms.
• Monitor receivables and follow up with clients for overdue payments.
• Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in ledgers and transactions.
• Assist in preparation and timely filing of statutory returns including GST and TDS.
• Support audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and MIS reports.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all financial records.

Candidate Requirements:

• B.Com, or a relevant postgraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 1-3 year of hands-on experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and Zoho Books.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Understanding of GST, TDS, and core Indian taxation laws.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and across departments.
