📌 Position Overview The Assistant Accountant supports the finance team by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in the preparation of reports. This role ensures the smooth operation of economic activities and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Data Entry Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments). Maintain ledgers, journals, and other accounting records. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients/vendors. Bank & Cash Management Assist in bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring. Prepare deposit slips and maintain petty cash records. Financial Reporting Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis. Compliance & Audit Support Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Provide documentation and support during internal/external audits. General Administrative Support Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents. Collaborate with other departments for smooth financial operations 👩‍💼 Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship experience acceptable). Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
