JOB SCOPE An Academic Counsellor plays a crucial role in guiding potential learners towards making informed decisions about their educational journey. In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to leads, understanding their academic and career goals, and offering the right solutions through Veranda Highered’s various programs. Your goal is to drive enrolments through a consultative and solution-oriented approach. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Connect with potential learners via phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp. Understand the learner’s profile, aspirations, and challenges to recommend suitable programs. Follow a consultative approach to guide learners through the program benefits, structure, and career outcomes. Drive conversions by effectively addressing queries and helping learners take the next step. Maintain consistent follow-ups and track progress through the CRM. Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets related to outreach and enrolments. BASIC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in sales or counselling roles, preferably in the education sector. Minimum qualification: Graduate. Must have worked in a target-driven environment. Must be currently working in an individual contributor role. Prior experience in managing end-to-end sales cycles. SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong persuasive skills and a customer-first mindset. Ability to build trust and offer value-driven guidance. Familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools for managing leads and reporting. A proactive, self-driven attitude with a commitment to meeting goals. Telesales experience in the edtech industry will be an advantage.
