Role & responsibilities Design and implement complex digital systems using Verilog and/or VHDL. Develop and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for implementation on FPGAs. Perform simulation and verification of RTL code using tools like ModelSim, Questa, or Vivado. Debug and troubleshoot FPGA-based systems using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and on-chip debugging tools (e.g., ChipScope/ILA). Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs into larger systems. Optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) of FPGA designs. Perform synthesis, place and route, and generate bitstreams using tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus. Write testbenches and conduct unit and system-level testing. Document design specifications, processes, and test results.
