Job Description

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include Theme & Template Handling Customize existing WordPress themes as per layout requirements. Create and modify page templates using PHP, HTML, and CSS. Content Structure & Layout Setup Organize website content using page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg. Manage navigation menus, headers, and footers with a focus on UX. Plugin Configuration & Enhancement Install, configure, and test third-party plugins based on project needs. Identify plugin limitations and suggest custom solutions where needed. Custom Plugin Integration Utilize REST APIs to fetch external data and display it on the website. Develop or assist in developing custom plugins to meet project-specific functionality. Backend Logic Handling Write clean PHP scripts for functions, hooks, and filters. Collaborate on data handling tasks such as form submissions, post types, or user roles. Site Optimization & Responsiveness Ensure website responsiveness across all devices using CSS and media queries. Perform basic speed and SEO optimization practices using tools like Google Lighthouse or Yoast SEO. Testing & Debugging Regularly test functionality and appearance across multiple browsers and devices. Identify bugs or conflicts and suggest improvements. Version Control & Documentation Use version control systems like Git for code management. Maintain proper documentation of work done and processes followed. Collaboration & Feedback Work with UI/UX teams for layout and design inputs. Participate in review meetings and incorporate feedback effectively. Learning & Initiative Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends and best practices. Show initiative in solving new technical challenges using WordPress.
