About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Wireless QA Engineer to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies for enterprise WLAN solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Python-based automation, Wi-Fi protocols (802.11 standards), and large-scale performance validation. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and network engineers to ensure reliability, scalability, and high performance across wireless solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks in Python (pytest, unittest, or custom solutions).

• Perform manual and automated testing for WLAN management, API validation, and distributed systems.

• Test Wi-Fi standards and protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 802.11r, 802.11k, and 802.11v for client roaming, load balancing, and optimization.

• Validate functionality, performance, and stability of wireless controllers, access points, and APIs.

• Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing for large-scale wireless deployments.

• Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve issues.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable continuous delivery.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Programming & Automation: Advanced Python skills for test automation frameworks (pytest, unittest).

• Testing Expertise: Strong background in wireless LAN testing, API testing, and distributed system validation.

• Wi-Fi Standards & Protocols: In-depth understanding of Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 6E, and protocols such as 802.11r, 802.11k, 802.11v.

• API Development & Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs for wireless devices and controllers.

• Performance Testing: Proven experience with stress, load, and scalability testing.

• CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Agile Practices: Comfortable in Scrum/Kanban environments with cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and wireless debugging utilities.

• Experience with traffic generation tools (e.g., iPerf, IxChariot, Spirent).

• Exposure to cloud-managed WLAN solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to replicate complex wireless scenarios.
