Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, operating, and supporting highly available Windows and Linux systems. They will own critical infrastructure components, troubleshoot complex production issues, and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Own system stability, performance, security, and availability across production and non-production environments.
  • Act as L3 escalation for complex system, OS, virtualization, and networking issues.
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
  • Manage virtualization and compute platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and drive long-term fixes.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and configuration tools.
  • Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to support product and business requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
  • Drive continuous improvements to reduce downtime, manual effort, and operational risk.


Requirements:

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator with L3-level responsibilities.
  • Deep expertise in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Solid understanding of storage, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with configuration management or automation tools is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware) are a plus.
