Job Summary:

Manager – Warehouse Operations

The role is critical to ensuring efficient storage, timely dispatches, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and overall warehouse productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  
• Ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments as per SLA and order priorities.
  
• Maintain optimal warehouse layout and space utilization based on SKU profiles and volumes.
  

Inventory Control & Accuracy:

• Ensure real-time inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  
• Implement inventory management practices to minimize shrinkage, damage, and misplacement.
  
• Coordinate with supply chain and merchandising teams to manage stock levels.
  

Team Leadership & Resource Planning:

• Manage a team of warehouse supervisors, associates, and third-party staff.
  
• Plan and monitor manpower requirements in line with seasonal and daily volume fluctuations.
  
• Drive performance, training, and motivation of ground staff to meet operational KPIs.
  

Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices in warehousing, material handling, and packaging.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards (SOPs, 5S, ISO, etc.).
  
• Monitor and report on key metrics such as dock-to-stock time, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and order cycle time.
  

System & Technology Management:

• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld devices for real-time tracking and productivity.
  
• Ensure proper usage of automation, scanning, and digital tools for improved efficiency.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  
• 5–14 years of experience in warehouse/DC operations, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or 3PL environment.
  
• Experience in handling large SKU assortments and high-volume warehousing.
  
• Proficient in WMS, Excel, and data reporting tools.
