Website Developer

Job Overview:

Folks Digital Marketing Team is looking for a web developer who will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications. Once a website has been created, a Web Developer will generally assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the website. In order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be passionate about web technology and be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and have knowledge and experience in programming applications.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Maintaining and expanding/enhancing the website once built
• Performing regular file backups from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting / referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Implementing contingency plans in case the website goes down
• Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
• Ensure software stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs and ensure production operations run successfully
• Work quickly and carefully to complete small edits requested by customers, develop plans for completing larger projects and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
• Constant communication & collaboration with colleagues, suggest new solutions to improve existing websites
• Researching different software programs, maintaining software documentation
• Code and Deploy Applications in a Cross-Platform, Cross-Browser Environment

Skills:

While we are open to good programmers who know other languages and technologies, below is a list of skills we are looking for:

• Front-end technologies (such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery)
• Back-end technologies (such as PHP)
• Debugging tools (such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug)
• Website creation tools (WordPress & HTML5)
• Should have good knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools
• Should be able to manage website Hosting and Domain related setup and debugging.
• The candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and API's
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.

Aside from these skills, there are several qualities to be highlighted in a Web Developer job description to ensure the most suitable candidates apply:

• Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization
• Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets and business goals
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in the related field

- While we are open to any related field education, A post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Computer Science is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month
