About the Role

Evangelist Apps is looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Web Developer to join our client delivery team. In this role, you will work alongside the Senior Web Manager to deliver high-quality website updates, enhancements and digital experiences for one of our key clients.

You will support the development and maintenance of the client’s websites, troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and contribute to larger digital projects including member portals and CMS customisations. Your role will be a blend of backend development (primarily PHP/Laravel), front-end work, and technical system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Web Development

• Develop and maintain custom features on the client’s website using PHP and Laravel
• Work with Concrete5 or similar CMS platforms to support page templates, backend modules and dynamic content features
• Integrate CMS with third-party platforms including CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and marketing tools (ClickDimensions, Cvent)
• Support domain management, hosting setup, and SSL configuration as needed

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with the Senior Web Manager to implement technical solutions aligned with project goals
• Translate design and UX specifications into functional, responsive components
• Provide technical support and rapid bug fixes for CMS and integration issues

• Collaborate with the client’s digital agency where required, supporting code reviews and deployment

Optimisation and Performance

• Optimise websites for performance, security, mobile responsiveness and SEO
• Implement tracking and analytics scripts (GA4, GTM) as part of campaign and CRO setups

• Support user experience improvements by implementing new features and iterating on existing ones based on analytics insights

Quality and Governance

• Conduct thorough QA testing across browsers and devices
• Ensure code quality, reusability and adherence to security and accessibility standards

• Maintain proper documentation of code and workflows

Required Skills

• 2 to 5 years of experience in web development roles
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel
• Experience with CMS platforms (Concrete5 preferred; others like WordPress, Drupal acceptable)
• Front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, CRMs and marketing platforms
• Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, SEMRush

• Experience working with Git and deployment tools

Nice to Have

• Experience working on client-facing delivery projects
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Exposure to tools like Leadoo, Hootsuite, Cvent, Trello, Zapier

• Working knowledge of SEO and accessibility best practices
