Job Description – Warehouse Manager (Contract Logistics)

Location: Taj Nagar, Jamalpur Road, Gurgaon
Position: Warehouse Manager – Contract Logistics
Department: Operations / Contract Logistics
Salary: Up to ₹40,000 CTC per month
Reporting To: Operations Manager / Regional Manager

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager (Contract Logistics) will be responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations for contract logistics customers. The role includes service delivery, SLA management, manpower control, inbound/outbound operations, inventory accuracy, client coordination, and ensuring operational excellence in a 3PL/contract logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Logistics Operations
  • Ensure smooth management of inbound, outbound, VAS (Value Added Services), and dispatch operations.
  • Execute client-specific SOPs and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to SLA, TAT, and service quality standards.
  • Manage load planning, vehicle scheduling, and daily logistics operations.
2. Inventory & Stock Accuracy
  • Maintain 100% stock accuracy with regular cycle counts & monthly physical audits.
  • Monitor batch/lot/serial number accuracy wherever applicable.
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement preventive measures.
3. Team, Manpower & Productivity
  • Manage supervisors, operators, pickers, packers, loaders, and contractual manpower.
  • Ensure shift planning, productivity targets, and discipline management.
  • Conduct regular training on SOPs, safety, and process compliance.
4. Client Coordination & Customer Service
  • Act as the single point of contact for client operations.
  • Attend client calls, review meetings, and share operational MIS.
  • Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
5. Compliance, Safety & Audit
  • Maintain safe warehouse operations with fire safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, client SOPs, and statutory guidelines.
6. MIS & Reporting
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS on:
  • Inbound & outbound volumes
  • Inventory accuracy & ageing
  • Manpower productivity
  • Transport & dispatch
  • SLA reports
7. Process Improvement & Cost Control
  • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and operational flow.
  • Reduce operational costs through better manpower planning and productivity.
  • Implement best practices in contract logistics & warehouse automation (where applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Proven experience working on SAP ERP is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • 3–5 years of experience specifically in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Warehousing.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS, SAP/ERP systems, and barcode/RF operations.
  • Excellent communication & client-handling skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Good command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, MIS reporting).
