Job Description

Role Overview: As a Warehouse Trainer in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, your main responsibility is to provide high-quality training to candidates enrolled in the Warehousing/Logistics job role. You will ensure that trainees acquire practical skills, industry-relevant knowledge, employability & soft skills, and become job-ready for warehousing operations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct classroom & practical training sessions following the approved curriculum for the Warehouse Associate job role. - Demonstrate warehouse operations including receiving & inspection, material handling, storage, packing, dispatch, documentation, safety, use of warehouse equipment, and inventory management. - Facilitate hands-on practical exercises in a mock warehouse environment or actual warehouse facility. - Integrate soft skills, communication skills (especially English), digital literacy, and employability skills into the training. - Monitor trainee attendance, progress, assessments, and maintain training records & MIS documentation as required. - Coordinate with assessment & certification agencies for external assessments. - Liaise with industry partners/employers for internships, on-job training, and placements. - Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, housekeeping, 5S, standard operating procedures, and warehouse norms. - Provide feedback and remedial support to under-performing trainees to prepare them for placement. - Participate in trainer-upskilling, orientation workshops, and stay updated with industry trends in warehousing/logistics. Qualification Required: - Graduate in any discipline or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain/Warehouse Management/Industrial Engineering. - Preferably 2-3 years of work experience in warehousing/logistics operations or at least 1 year of training/teaching experience in a skill development environment. - Certification or training in Training of Trainers (ToT)/pedagogy/adult learning is a plus. - Good communication skills in English and Odia, along with basic computing skills. - Ability to use training aids, multimedia, simulation tools. - Willingness to travel within the district/centre as required. Additional Company Details (if available): The engagement may be contractual/monthly honorarium basis as per OSDA norms for the Trainer role. The trainer may need to deliver multiple batches, possibly shift-wise based on the centre schedule. Adherence to the policies of OSDA/State Skill Mission and following guidelines on minimum training hours, batch size, model curriculum, NSQF alignment, etc., is expected. Travelling to workplaces for exposure visits and employer interaction may be required. (Note: Benefits include Provident Fund. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. Work Location: In person),
