VP/AVP RTR (US Taxation)

As the Lead for the Record to Report (RTR) process, your primary responsibility is to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for US multi-unit restaurant clients. This involves overseeing the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes, maintaining adherence to deadlines, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial records. Additionally, you will provide strategic guidance on accounting and reporting issues to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing a team of junior accountants, focusing on their professional growth, effective training, and maintaining high-quality work output. - Reviewing and approving variance analysis, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvements to senior management. - Providing oversight for Cash Flow forecasting to ensure accuracy and alignment with business operations. - Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for the preparation and review of audit and tax requests. - Reviewing accounting policies and providing guidance on the adoption of new accounting standards and guidance. - Acting as a liaison between senior management and junior teams, providing regular updates on the status of financial reporting and process improvements. - Assisting with high-level budgeting, proformas, and financial forecasting for key stakeholders. - Evaluating and optimizing financial processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decision-making. - Ensuring that all RTR activities are in alignment with corporate strategy and client requirements. Pre-requisites for this role include being a Qualified CA, MBA in Finance, or having a similar advanced qualification. You should have extensive knowledge of US GAAP and accounting standards, experience in leading accounting teams, and making strategic decisions. Additionally, advanced experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Oracle Net Suite, R365, and other ERP tools is required. Strong leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills are essential for this position.
