Job Summary

Visual Arts Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Visual Arts to students in Grades 11-12, following the IBDP and/or IGCSE curriculum.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Encourage and support student creativity, experimentation, and critical thinking.
• Guide students in the development of their individual art projects and portfolios.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations, ensuring academic excellence.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Organize and participate in art exhibitions, school events, and extracurricular art activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the artistic growth of each student.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular learning initiatives.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of visual arts and international education.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Visual Arts or Fine Arts from a recognized institution.
• Minimum

  3-4 years of teaching experience

  in Grades 1112.

• Experience in teaching IBDP and/or IGCSE Visual Arts

• Strong portfolio of personal or student artwork is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Passionate about student-centered learning and artistic expression.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Familiarity with digital tools and techniques used in visual arts education is an advantage.
