+Art Teacher Job Description: The core purpose of teaching art is to boost creative thinking, impart artistic skills to students and make them aware of different factors that influenced art in different historical periods by understanding different Art movements. The Art Teacher requires considerable artistic abilities and knowledge of aesthetics and art history. + Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop and implement art and art history curriculum to meet learning goals of students and deliver an effective lesson plan. Involve in Material Management by purchasing art materials and maintain the inventory. Prepare and arrange art materials and equipment in the classroom for students before respective classes. Deliver classes to students on art, art techniques, art history, visual aesthetics and working with hands model. Give required demonstrations to students to teach them holistically. Provide a inclusive and non judgemental class experience. Discuss various artistic approaches and traditions and encourage students to express themselves artistically to help them feel empowered. Provide instruction and make them understand the right way in the use of pencils, pens, charcoal, brushes, watercolours, acrylic colours, oil colours and other art materials. Assign and grade the finished art projects, conduct parent teacher meetings and maintain records of the students' progress. Organise art exhibitions and open days to display the artworks of students and help them develop their art portfolios. Support the Art School administration in developing art programs, attend faculty meetings and participate in parent-teacher discussions. Be flexible to take classes both at the studio and outside centers and schools as and when requested. + Education and Experience Any art or creative career background is most welcome where minimum under-graduation is completed. Work experience as an Art Teacher is an added advantage. Any Design background and experience can be considered. If any workshops conducted or assisted with events can also be considered. + Key Accountability: Excellent communication, interpersonal and empathetic skills. Lesson Plan and Curriculum Delivery with time management skills to deliver classes. Are adaptive and have ownership. Embrace diversity and inclusion. Team work and community builders. Maintain Classroom Code of Conduct Child Centric and have parent connect by providing a friendly and safe environment. Hygiene maintained and care for the workplace. + Other Skills: Basic Computer skills including MS Oce suite of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Documentation of class activities which requires phone photography and videography. + Working Conditions: Be flexible to take classes both at outside centers and schools as and when requested. Availability to travel for workshops and events to other cities as and when required. Be prepared to work for events and exhibitions that the school hosts.
