Role Overview

Video Editor

Key Responsibilities

Editing & Post-Production

• Edit reels, shorts, ad videos, product demos, founder interviews, and branded content.
• Add motion graphics, transitions, typography, effects, and royalty-free music to enhance videos.
• Ensure smooth cuts, pacing, and visual flow for engagement and storytelling.

Creative Direction Support

• Collaborate with the content team to understand the story, tone, and branding of each project.
• Suggest fresh concepts, visual styles, and video formats suitable for digital audiences.
• Create video templates, intro/outro animations, and reusable assets for brand consistency.

Asset Management & Delivery

• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and final exports.
• Maintain backup and version control of all work.
• Deliver videos in various formats/resolutions (16:9, 4:5, 9:16) based on platform needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience (agency or freelance).
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CapCut, InShot, VN, or similar mobile-first tools is a bonus.
• Strong understanding of social media video formats, durations, and trends.
• Ability to edit fast, creatively, and with attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of color grading, sound editing, and aspect ratios.

Bonus Points If You:

• Have a portfolio of reels, ads, or storytelling edits that went viral.
• Can shoot videos with mobile or DSLR (basic camera operation knowledge).
• Understand branding and visual identity in videos.
• Know how to work with AI video tools, templates, or motion design plugins.
