Nestology is building a science-backed, Montessori-aligned parenting platform for the first three years of life. We combine research, real-world parenting, and thoughtful design to help parents raise confident, capable children. Our content is not viral noise. It is calm, credible, emotionally intelligent, and deeply human.

Video is central to how parents experience Nestology. From Instagram reels to long-form educational videos, our visuals must feel trustworthy, warm, and intentional.

We are looking for a Video Editor who can translate complex early childhood concepts into clear, emotionally resonant visual stories.

This role goes far beyond cutting clips. You will help shape how Nestology looks, feels, and sounds across all video touchpoints. You will work closely with founders, educators, and content writers to turn scripts and raw footage into polished, parent-friendly videos.

You should have a strong sense of pacing, visual clarity, and emotional tone, especially for content involving babies, parents, and learning.

• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Meta ads (20–60 seconds)
• Create scroll-stopping openings without being gimmicky
• Maintain calm, premium pacing rather than hyper edits
• Add captions that are readable, parent-friendly, and well-timed
• Adapt a single video into multiple platform-specific formats

• Edit 5–30 minute videos for courses, workshops, and modules
• Structure videos for clarity, learning flow, and attention retention
• Insert B-roll, graphics, callouts, and gentle transitions where needed
• Ensure videos feel trustworthy, not YouTube-ish or overproduced

• Create simple, clean motion graphics for concepts, timelines, and highlights
• Add subtle animations for emphasis, not distraction
• Maintain consistency with Nestology’s visual language
• Use icons, text overlays, and illustrations thoughtfully

• Follow Nestology’s tone guidelines: calm, evidence-led, warm, non-judgmental
• Avoid clickbait aesthetics, loud colors, or aggressive transitions
• Ensure color grading, fonts, and layout are consistent across content
• Improve video quality even when raw footage is imperfect

• Work closely with founders and content leads
• Incorporate feedback thoughtfully and quickly
• Suggest edits or visual improvements proactively
• Help refine templates and workflows over time

• Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Comfortable with After Effects or equivalent for basic motion graphics
• Experience with captioning tools and subtitle formatting
• Understanding of aspect ratios and platform requirements
• Ability to work with phone-shot footage as well as professional video

• Strong sense of storytelling and pacing
• Ability to match visuals with emotional tone
• Good judgment on when to simplify rather than add effects
• Sensitivity when editing content involving babies and parents

• 2+ years of video editing experience preferred
• Experience with educational, parenting, wellness, or lifestyle content is a strong plus
• Portfolio required. Especially reels, explainers, or long-form educational videos
