Role and Responsibilities:

• Video Editing & Post-Production:

  On-time high-quality edits of short-form content (especially Reels and Shorts) optimised for Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Turn raw footage from student sessions, speaker engagements, and campus activities into sharp, trend-aware videos. Incorporate motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, and sound design to elevate storytelling.

• Social media Trends & Creative Development:

  Stay updated with Instagram Reel trends, hooks, and audio styles to create culturally resonant premium content. Contribute ideas for storytelling formats, creative hooks, and video concepts tailored to Ashoka’s brand and target audiences.

• Team Coordination & Syncing

  : Maintain organised project folders and hand over final on-brand edited versions on time.

• Visual Content Capture & Planning:

  Capture engaging footage and interviews of students, faculty, and guest speakers during YSP and HAP sessions. Film dynamic B-roll showcasing classroom interactions, campus life, speaker engagements, and peer bonding moments. Assist with shoot planning to align with programme schedules and storytelling goals.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing, content creation, or visual storytelling.
• Strong command of editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Familiarity with Lightroom or Photoshop for minor photo editing is a bonus.
• Excellent visual aesthetic, attention to detail, and ability to tell compelling narratives through video.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting timelines.
• Ability to take creative direction while also working independently.
• Experience filming interviews and campus-style B-roll preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple video projects simultaneously.
