Vice President - Third Party Management, Credit Bureau, and Business Activity Owner

As the Credit Bureau Manager (Vice President): Consumer Credit Risk at our organization, your primary role will be to support compliance efforts with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by overseeing the governance, management, and integration of data from third-party credit reporting agencies. You will lead a team responsible for furnishing, consuming, and validating credit data to ensure alignment with FCRA regulations while driving positive business outcomes. In addition, you will be involved in contract negotiations, invoice alignment, and financial discipline related to credit bureau relationships, optimizing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for compliance and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - FCRA Compliance Leadership: - Support the organizations FCRA compliance program and ensure all data exchanged with credit reporting agencies complies with legal and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to stay informed about evolving FCRA regulations and align business processes and data governance practices accordingly. - Third-Party Data Management & Integration: - Oversee the integration and consumption of data from third-party credit bureaus while ensuring compliance with FCRA standards. - Develop strategies to optimize data usage for credit risk decisioning, reporting, and compliance. - Contract Management & Financial Oversight: - Lead negotiations and manage relationships with third-party credit bureaus to meet compliance and financial objectives. - Ensure that contracts, invoices, and pricing structures align with financial discipline without compromising compliance or operational performance. - Invoice Alignment & Financial Discipline: - Implement financial oversight practices to manage third-party data consumption within budget constraints. - Data Governance & Risk Management: - Establish a comprehensive data governance framework to manage credit reporting data according to internal policies and FCRA regulations. - Lead efforts to monitor and audit data usage to maintain accuracy and timeliness. - Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all credit reporting activities align with FCRA compliance and business goals. - Leadership & Team Development: - Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for managing third-party data integration, contract negotiations, and FCRA compliance. - Innovation & Continuous Improvement: - Drive innovation in data management and compliance to enhance accuracy, security, and cost-effectiveness of credit data integration. Key Qualifications: - Educational Background: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Certifications in FCRA, Data Privacy, or Regulatory Compliance are preferred. - Leadership Experience: - 5+ years of experience in leading small teams, credit risk management, or financial services. - Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership: - Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. - Innovation & Continuous Improvement Mindset: - A forward-thinking executive committed to continuous improvement. - FCRA & Regulatory Expertise: - Understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other relevant regulatory frameworks. - Contract Management & Financial Acumen: - Understanding of negotiating and managing contracts with third-party vendors. - Data Governance & Risk Management Skills: - Extensive experience in data governance and risk management in the context of credit risk decisioning.
