Vice President – Regulatory Reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and finalize data elements and analytical scenarios for regulatory reporting and compliance review.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Business, PMO, etc.) to ensure seamless implementation of data analytics tools and reporting systems.
  • Monitor and validate key financial and non-financial data on a periodic basis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the Regulatory Reporting and Central Compliance teams by analyzing data trends, identifying outliers, and providing insights for corrective action.
  • Review dashboards and exception reports to enable proactive issue resolution and strengthen monitoring mechanisms.
  • Identify data discrepancies, recommend corrective measures, and coordinate data rectification across relevant teams.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee the testing, validation, and deployment of periodic reports and technology enhancements.
  • Prepare and present analytical and compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, findings, and recommendations.
  • Conduct benchmarking and strategic analysis against peer banks and NBFCs to align practices with industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory guidelines, RBI updates, and best practices in financial compliance and reporting.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through detailed validation and analytical review.
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize data to support informed, data-driven decision-making.

Major Challenges

  • Managing coordination across multiple business lines—including lending, deposits, and payment solutions—within a large, diversified NBFC structure.
  • Driving alignment among multiple cross-functional teams with varied priorities and timelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in data analytics and strategic financial planning.

Experience:

  • Minimum

    8+ years of relevant experience

    in regulatory reporting, compliance, or data analytics within NBFCs or banking institutions.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of

    RBI regulatory frameworks

    , reporting formats, and inspection requirements.
  • Proficiency in process optimization, automation, and requirements analysis.
  • Ability to manage complexity and drive collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
